The Singapore stock market turned higher again on Monday, one session after it had snapped the two-day winning streak in which it had advanced more than 50 points or 1.7 percent. The Straight Times Index now rests just beneath the 3,115-point plateau although it may see renewed selling pressure on Tuesday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is soft on tumbling crude oil prices and concerns over the outlook for interest rates. The European and U.S. markets were firmly lower and the Asian bourses are tipped to open in similar fashion.
