Beckman Coulter Inc. (BEC) announced second quarter EPS of $0.99 after the bell Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $0.81. The company now expects to report full year 2009 EPS between $3.76 and $3.91, compared to the consensus estimate of $3.79. Beckman Coulter Inc. gapped up Friday and rose sharply in early trade. Shares settled into a range for the majority of the session and finished higher by $6.33 at $62.99. The stock climbed above a week and a half long range and set a 9 1/2 month high.
