Lubrizol Corp. (LZ) announced after the bell Wednesday that it now expects to report third quarter EPS of about $2.52. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.89. Lubrizol Corp. gapped up Thursday and climbed late in the morning. Shares advanced further around mid-afternoon and finished up by $5.12 at $75.62 on strong volume. The stock broke out of a one-month range and closed at a new high for the year.
