Northrop Grumman Corp. (NOC) announced Wednesday morning that it was awarded a task order by the US Air Force to develop and test an anti-jam embedded GPS and inertial navigation unit for the A-10C. Northrop Grumman gapped up Wednesday and climbed during the first 45 minutes of trade. The stock moved in a range for the remainder of the session and closed higher by $0.86 at $54.82. Northrop Grumman has been rising for the past week and set a new high for the year.
