Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced Wednesday morning that it intends to commence an offering of $500 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes in a private offering. Shares of Advanced Micro Devices climbed steadily until mid-morning Wednesday and took out the highs of the session going into the close. AMD closed up by $0.70 at $7.32 on above average volume. The stock has been rising for the last 2 weeks and finished at a new high for the year.
