Brightpoint Inc. (CELL), an Indiana-based distributor of wireless devices and accessories, Friday revealed signing an agreement with Synchronoss Technologies Inc. (SNCR), pursuant to which Brightpoint would use the ConvergenceNow software platform of Synchronoss for activating certain wireless devices. The tie-up will help the company enhance its suite of customized logistic services.
Synchronoss is a New Jersey-based provider of multi-channel transaction management solutions to the communications services and digital content marketplaces.
The software platform under the arrangement would enable Brightpoint to provide an integrated online activation service to its clients. Brightpoint services the telecommunications and consumer electronics industry with its seamless integrated solutions that include order capture, order management, fulfillment as well as distribution of devices, mobile enhancements and content throughout North America and other areas.
CELL is trading at $7.64, down $0.53 or 6.49%, on a volume of around 1.25 million shares.
