Health Net Federal Says It Meets Target Enrollments for Government's Disease Management Program - Update

Friday before the bell, Health Net Federal Services, LLC, the government operations division of Health Net, Inc. (HNT) announced enrolling more than 26,000 TRICARE patients in its unified Disease Management Program.

Health Net's TRICARE Program is the defense department's health care plan for active duty, retired service members, and their families. The program was established in collaboration with the Department of Defense in September 2006.

The program was set up to improve the quality of military health care services and to manage increasing health care costs. Health Net Federal Services noted that under its program, each enrolled patient was taught how to monitor, regulate and control their disease through practicing self-management, regular screenings, medication, diet and exercise, and effective communication with medical professionals.

HNT closed Thursday's trading session at $23.05. HNT is trading in a 52-week range of $21.76 - $56.00 on a three-month average volume of 2.58 million shares.
