Correction: Diodes Reports Q2 EPS Growth, Adjusted Earnings Beat Estimates

Thursday morning, Diodes Inc. (DIOD) released its financial results for the second quarter, with the semiconductor and electronics component maker reporting adjusted earnings that came in a penny above analyst estimates.

Diodes reported net income for the quarter of $13.11 million or $0.31 per share compared to $12.25 million or $0.29 per share in the prior year quarter.

The company also reported adjusted net income, which excludes stock option expenses and a one-time non-cash currency hedge loss, of 15.0 million or $0.35 per diluted share.

On average, four analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial expected the company to earn $0.34 per share. Analyst estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Revenue for the quarter rose to $116.02 million from $96.28 million in the same quarter last year. Analyst had a consensus revenue estimate for the quarter of $115.29 million.

Looking forward, the company said it expects third quarter revenues in the range of $134 million to $142 million. Analysts currently expect the company to report revenues of $134.28 million for the quarter.
