Aware, Inc. (AWRE), a supplier of broadband technology and biometrics software, Tuesday said it expects fiscal 2008 revenue to exceed its previous projections. The company now expects to be profitable on a GAAP basis for the year ending December 31.
The company raised its fiscal 2008 revenue outlook to a range of $28 million to $31 million. Aware said that over the past year, it witnessed an increased interest in its patents relating to communications and signal processing technology.
In the fourth quarter, Aware executed a contract involving the sale of selected communications patents with an undisclosed third party. The company's other plan of action includes selling and/or licensing portions of its patent portfolio in the ordinary course of its business.
AWRE is currently trading at $1.72, up $0.09 or 5.53% on the Nasdaq.
