Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (ANR) said it appointed Allen Scott Pack as executive vice president-sales and president of Alpha Coal Sales Co., LLC. Pack succeeds Joachim Porco, who has accepted another career opportunity in the coal industry. Following Alpha Natural Resources' recent merger with Foundation Coal Holdings, Inc., Pack was named executive vice-president of sales, with responsibility for managing the sales and marketing organization of the combined companies. Prior to the merger, he had served as president of Foundation Energy Sales, Inc. and senior vice president of sales and marketing for Foundation Coal Holdings.
