Bebe Stores, Inc. (BEBE) reported that same store sales for the fiscal quarter ended October 3, 2009 decreased 25.7%, compared to a decline of 10.8% in the prior year.
The company reported retail sales of $120.1 million for the first quarter of fiscal 2010, a decrease of 23.6% from sales of $157.3 million in the fiscal quarter ended October 4, 2008.
The company noted that, as of October 3, 2009, average finished goods inventory per square foot was approximately 19.4% lower as compared to the prior year.
