Pinnacle Reveals Management Changes - Update

Casino operator Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. (PNK), Thursday said it promoted Todd George, Kim Townsend and Jeff Babinski to new positions effective immediately, related to its casino operations at St. Louis, Missouri and Reno, Nevada.

As per the new changes, Todd George, currently Vice President and General Manager at Lumiere Place in downtown St. Louis, will move to the company's new River City Casino in South St. Louis County as Vice President and General Manager. River City casino is scheduled to open in spring 2010, pending regulatory approvals.

Kim Townsend, currently head of Pinnacle Atlantic City, will now oversee Lumier Place as Vice President and General Manager. Meanwhile, Jeff Babinski, Senior Director of Casino Operations at Lumiere Place, has been promoted as General Manager of Boomtown Reno, the company's casino-hotel in Verdi, Nevada.

Jeff Babinski will report to David Williams, Regional Vice President, who also oversees operations at the company's Boomtown New Orleans casino in Harvey, Louisiana.

George joined Pinnacle in the year 2000 in the accounting department of Belterra Casino Resort in Vevay, Indiana, and was later elevated as General Manager of Pinnacle's Boomtown Bossier City property in 2003. George moved to St. Louis in 2006 to head the opening team for Lumiere Place.

Townsend joined Pinnacle in 2002, and was named Senior Vice President of Marketing prior to relocating to Atlantic City in 2006. Townsend is relocating to St. Louis, but also will continue to oversee Pinnacle's Atlantic City investments.

Pinnacle also noted that the Atlantic City project remains on indefinite hold, reflecting both the constrained financial markets and the weak Atlantic City environment.

PNK is currently trading at $10.71,up $0.17 or 1.61%, on a volume of 0.20 million shares.
