Justice Department resists Ticketmaster Entertainment Inc. (TKTM) and Live Nation Inc. (LYV) merger, and will require major concessions, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people people familiar with the situation.
The report said that the discussions are continuing between Justice Department officials and executives of Ticketmaster and Live Nation and no final decision has been reached.
Recently, it is to be noted that Britain's Competition Commission or CC has provisionally ruled that the proposed merger of Ticketmaster and Live Nation will limit the development of competition in the market for live music ticket retailing.
