Wednesday, Wyndham Worldwide Corp. (WYN) reported third-quarter net income of $104 million or $0.57 per share, compared to net income of $142 million or $0.80 per share in the same quarter last year.
On an adjusted basis, net income was $106 million or $0.58 per share, compared to adjusted net income of $148 million or $0.83 per share in the year ago quarter.
On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.56 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the quarter were $1.01 billion, down 17% from $1.23 billion for the quarter. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $1.00 billion for the quarter.
