Earnings per share equaled $0.18 and $0.68 for the quarters ended September 30, 2009 and 2008, respectively, based upon 29.3 million weighted-average common shares outstanding in both periods, the company noted. On average, 3 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.01 for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically excludes one-time items.
Fourth-quarter net sales totaled $90.46 million, a 41% decrease from the comparable quarter of fiscal 2008. Three analysts estimated revenues of $80.20 million for the quarter.
