Southwest Airlines Co. (LUV) reported an 1.9% increase in October traffic to 6.32 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 6.21 billion RPMs a year earlier.
Capacity in October declined 9.4% to 7.99 billion available seat miles or ASMs from 8.81 billion ASMs last year.
Load factor in the month of October rose 8.8 points to 79.2% from 70.4% in the comparable period.
