Estonia Consumer Prices Decline Further In October

Friday, the Statistics Estonia announced that the consumer price index or CPI dropped 2.2% year-on-year in October, compared to the 1.6% fall in the previous month.

The consumer price index decreased for the first time by more than 2% on an annual basis, the statistical office said. Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices fell 6.6% in October, while clothing and footwear prices rose 0.9%. Transport charges were down 3.1%.

On a monthly basis, the CPI declined 0.1% in October, after falling 0.2% in September.
