AMIMON Inc. and Maxim Integrated Products Inc. (MXIM) announced their collaboration to provide Wireless Home Digital Interface solutions. The companies will offer a joint reference design based on Maxim's WHDI RF chipset MAX2850/MAX2851 that interfaces directly to the AMIMON WHDI baseband chipset AMN 2120/2220.
The AMIMON-Maxim WHDI chipset solution can be embedded into CE devices such as LCD and plasma HDTVs, multimedia projectors, notebooks, A/V receivers, Blu-ray DVD players, set-top boxes, game consoles, DVRs, PCs and HD video accessories/dongles, allowing wireless streaming of uncompressed HD content.
