Allied Irish Banks Plc (AIB,ALBK.L) announced that it expects 2009 financial results to reflect solid operating profits before bad debt provisions set against a background of a very difficult operating environment. The company expects to report operating profit in all its divisions, Republic of Ireland, Capital Markets, UK and CEE.
Operating profit from the Capital Markets division is projected to be ahead of the level reported in 2008 and to be largest divisional contributor to group profit.
