(RTTNews) - Wednesday, Depomed Inc. (DEPO: News ) promoted William Callahan to the position of vice president of Operations. Callahan joined Depomed in 2002 and most recently held the position of senior director, Operations.

Callahan has spent most of his more than 20-year career in emerging growth companies, establishing and growing operations groups, and participating in the launch of numerous new products. Prior to Depomed, Callahan was director of operations positions at Avocet Medical, Cygnus Therapeutics, Applied Biosystems and Johnson & Johnson Lifescan.
Depomed Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, develops and commercializes pharmaceutical products based on its proprietary oral drug delivery technologies in the United States. It markets GLUMETZA for the treatment of type 2 diabetes in the United States, Canada, and Korea; and Proquin XR for treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infection in the United States.
