(RTTNews) - Three Palestinian civilians were injured in a pre-dawn bombing Tuesday by Israeli warplanes on three targets in the Gaza Strip.
Two arms smuggling tunnels in Rafah bordering with Egypt and a weapons plant run by the radical Islamist Hamas movement in the northern Gaza Strip were destroyed, reports said.
The Israeli military (IDF) said it was responding to two rockets fired into southern Israel Sunday.
Earlier, two Palestinian militants of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, were killed in an explosion in eastern Gaza City.
In a statement, the IDF made it clear that it will not tolerate terrorist organizations launching strikes into Israel and will continue to act decisively against any attempt to disturb the peace of Israel's southern citizens.
