Friday, the Statistics Portugal announced that the seasonally adjusted retail sales decreased 0.6% year-on-year in October, slower than the 1.2% decline in the previous month, revised from 1.3% drop estimated initially.
The retail trade turnover, excluding fuel increased 0.4% on an annual basis in October, compared to a 0.9% fall in the previous month.
In October, employment and the number of hours worked adjusted for working days decreased by 2.2% and 3.4%, respectively.
Meanwhile, wages and salaries increased 2.6% on an annual basis in October.
