CF Industries Holdings Inc. (CF) announced that it has exercised its right to extend to December 31, 2009 the $2.5 billion of financing commitments for the acquisition of Terra Industries Inc. (TRA). CF Industries said that it does not have any right to extend the financing commitments beyond December 31 unless a merger agreement with Terra is signed by that date.
