Golden Star Resources Ltd. (GSC.TO,GSS) said it has priced an offering of 20 million common shares at a price of US$3.75 per share for gross proceeds of US$75 million. The Offering is expected to close on or about December 17, 2009.
The company has granted the underwriters an option, exercisable for a period of 30 days following the closing of the Offering, to purchase up to 3 million additional common shares at a price of US$3.75 per share for additional gross proceeds of US$11.25 million to cover over-allotments, if any.
The company expects to use net proceeds of the Offering to continue with committed capital projects, exploration activities and for general corporate purposes.
