A financial settlement in the divorce of Nas and Kelis has been reached. The settlement will cost Nas $51,101 in monthly payments.
Nas has been ordered to pay $40,454 in spousal support and $10,647 in child support, as well as $46,022 in attorney fees. Nas had previously been paying $40,000 a month in child and spousal support payments.
The rapper was ordered to make the higher payments by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cunningham III, who feels Nas makes enough money to provide additional support.
Despite all the money he will have to shell out, Nas did rid himself of the bill for the former couple's Los Angeles residence.
The rapper said at the hearing that he wanted to have overnight stays with his son, but Kelis has sole custody for now.
Sources said that Kelis was "thrilled" with the agreement. The singer recently signed a record contract with the Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am and Interscope Records.
