A man from Indiana named Devar Hurd faces up to two years behind bars based on allegations that he was sending lewd and inappropriate text messages to Ashanti and her family.

According to the New York Post, Hurd sent over 30 messages in which he described pleasuring himself while thinking of both Ashanti and members of her family.

The messages, which began back in May, escalated to the point that Hurd reportedly send a photo of his exposed genitals as well as graphic descriptions of his sexual actions while watching one of the singer's concert performances.

Hurd is currently behind bars at New York's Rikers Island on $50,000 bail. He is set to face trial as early as next week on misdemeanor charges of stalking and aggravated harassment.
