Lil Wayne's much delayed album, Rebirth, was accidentally shipped to about 500 Amazon customers who pre-ordered the disc earlier this week. The album's release date had been pushed back from December 21 to February 1, but Amazon still sent out the offering to those that preordered it on December 14.

Despite Rebirth's recall, about 1 million copies of the album had already been manufactured, according to Billboard magazine. A third of those had already been sent to retail accounts, which is where the Amazon copies of Wayne's rock-inspired album came from.

The Amazon shipments have resulted in the album leaking online. On December 15, Wayne's collaboration with Eminem, titled "Drop the World," hit the web, joining other new tracks including "Hot Revolver," "Fix My Hat" and "Da Da Da."
