Visitor arrivals into Turkey rose 10.7% year-on-year in November compared to the 6.3% increase in the previous month, the country's Ministry of Culture and Tourism reported on Wednesday. A year earlier, tourist arrivals were up 7.7%.
In November, visitor arrivals increased to 1.4 million from 1.27 million last year, but came lesser than the 2.62 million arrivals reported in the preceding month.
In the first eleven months of the year, visitor arrivals climbed 2.4% from a year ago, much slower than the 13.1% growth seen in the same period of 2008.
