The Australian dollar showed strength against its US counterpart in early Asian trading on Monday. Extending its recent rally, the Australian dollar touched a weekly high of 0.8865 against the greenback around 9:00 pm ET and this may be compared to last week's close of 0.8828. The aussie-buck pair is presently worth 0.886 with 0.896 seen as the next upside target level.
