Wednesday, Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO), the holding company for direct bond insurers Assured Guaranty Corp. and Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp. named Nicholas Proud to the post of Senior Managing Director, International. He will head the company's international credit enhancement business.
Proud joined Assured Guaranty Ltd. from QBE Insurance & Reinsurance Ltd. in January 2001, where he was a Director and Senior Underwriter in its Financial Risks Operations. Prior to that, he was Executive Director of the Structured Financial Risks Division of Special Risk Services Ltd., a financial products reinsurance broker.
Assured Guaranty Ltd., through its subsidiaries, provides credit enhancement products to the public finance, structured finance, and mortgage markets in the United States and internationally.
