BorgWarner Inc. (BWA) said it was selected by Chrysler Group LLC to supply its patented Torque-On-Demand or TOD and Part-Time transfer cases on all four-wheel drive Ram trucks, including all four-wheel drive RAM 1500 and 2500/3500 pickups.
Further, the company said it would supply Electric shift Part-Time transfer cases for the Ram 1500 and Ram 2500/3500. BorgWarner added that its TOD transfer cases provide traction on all surfaces, vehicle stability and towing performance, while its field-proven Part-Time transfer cases feature electro-mechanical synchronized shifts to ensure optimized timing for full engagement, preventing driver error and system damage.
