CF Industries Holdings Inc. (CF) announced after the close Thursday that it has withdrawn its offer to acquire Terra Industries Inc. (TRA) and that it is no longer pursuing the acquisition. CF Industries also stated that it sold all its shares in Terra.
CF Industries Holdings pulled back around mid-morning Thursday and slipped further in the early portion of the afternoon. Shares finished down by 1.73 at $93.19. The stock is now up 4.81 on 256K shares after the close.
