Kings of Leon's new album has temporarily been put on hold while the bandmembers take some time off to play golf. After spending most of 2009 on tour, the Nashville quartet announced last month that it would take a six-month hiatus before working on its next album.

"They love golf, they can't get enough of it," a source told The Sun. "Nathan is a brilliant player but Caleb is having a good go and snapping at his heels."

The alternative rock band released its fourth album, Only by the Night, in 2008. The offering reached number one on Billboard's Rock Albums chart and number four on the 200 chart. It also reached number one in the U.K. and four other countries.

The album also includes three singles - "Sex on Fire", "Use Somebody" and "Notion" - that reached the top of the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.
