Mum is the word for Gloriana singer Tom Gossin, who was placed on vocal rest by doctors earlier this week. The group canceled two shows on their current U.S. tour to give the singer time to recuperate before heading to Australia for supporting dates with Taylor Swift.
Gossin was ordered to zip his lips for five days but stayed connected with fans through Twitter.
"All I want to do is yodel from a mountain top," he wrote.
Houston-based singer Jason Michael Carroll filled in for one of the missed dates.
"We have had to cancel a couple shows this weekend: January 15th in Palmetto, FL and January 16th in Sanford, FL as Tom has been put on vocal rest by his doctor," the group said in an official statement. "We're so sorry for the inconvenience and we promise to re-schedule very soon!"
Gloriana will be back on the road in the U.S. later this winter after their Australian run. Shows will kick off on March 4 at the St. Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, and will run through August.
