Iggy Pop Will Join Tibet House Benefit Roster

Tibet House U.S. has announced that Iggy Pop will be joining the lineup of musicians performing at the 20th annual Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert at New York's Carnegie Hall on February 26.

Iggy Pop will be joining Regina Spektor, Patti Smith, Jesse Smith, Michael Campbell, Gogol Bordello, Baaba Maal and Pierce Turner, who have been brought together by the concert's artistic director, Philip Glass.

Ticket prices for the event range from the $35 to $85.

Founded in 1987, Tibet House U.S. is a non-profit organization brought together at the request of the Dalai Lama to serve as a center for the preservation and presentation of endangered Tibetan culture.

Portions of each year's proceeds are shared with other charitable organizations that support the Asian region's rights and culture. The Tibetan Community of New York and New Jersey will be receiving proceeds this year, as well as other groups which are yet to be announced.
