Thursday, AVEVA Group Plc (AVV.L) announced that WorleyParsons, a provider of technical, project and operational support services, recently signed a contract to significantly increase the company's usage of AVEVA Plant solutions.
The new contract supplements a 2-year global contract for AVEVA Plant solutions placed by WorleyParsons' Kuala Lumpur office in mid-2008. With both contracts, AVEVA Plant solutions will be used in WorleyParsons centres in Singapore, Brunei, Jakarta, Bangkok, Abu Dhabi, Lagos, Perth, Melbourne, Chile, Trinidad, Houston, Beijing and London.
Peter Finch, President of AVEVA Asia Pacific said, "The increase in usage of AVEVA Plant is proof that our products are able to meet the demands brought about by large-scale and highly complex projects, especially for our global account customers such as WorleyParsons. AVEVA Plant allows multi-site collaborative working and this allows global companies to have project teams that are distributed around the world working together. In addition, the recent releases of AVEVA Plant bring many major enhancements, illustrating the way that AVEVA is meeting its customers' needs in today's economic condition."
