Miley Cyrus has joined forces with actress Liv Tyler and actor Joaquin Phoenix to help secure funding for the suicide prevention group, To Write Love on Her Arms.

"I don't think people really realize what a problem [suicide] is and how many people really struggle with depression and end up taking their lives for it, especially so many young people out there so I think it's really important we all get involved," Cyrus said, according to the Daily Express.

Cyrus, Tyler and Phoenix made a video imploring online viewers to vote for the group to help it win the Chase Community Giving Program. The organization/program that gets the most votes wins $1 million in funding.

"The money will go towards the launch of a live online crisis network which will be really amazing for all these people that just need a family and community," the Hannah Montana star added, Contactmusic.com reports.

To Write Love on Her Arms is an online program that provides real-time support to people contemplating suicide.
