Crown Castle Intl. Swings To Profit In Q4; Guides Q1, FY10 - Quick Facts 2

Crown Castle International Corp. (CCI) reported fourth quarter net income attributable to CCIC stockholders of $18.7 million, compared to a loss of $63.8 million in the prior year period. Net income attributable to CCIC stockholders after deduction of dividends on preferred stock was $13.0 million or $0.04 per share, compared to a loss of $69.0 million or $0.24 per share in the prior year quarter.

On average, 14 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.01 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter increased 13% to $443.5 million from $392.0 million in the same period last year. Fourteen Wall Street analysts expected revenues of $436.26 million.

Looking forward, for the first quarter, the company said it expects site rental revenues in the range of $403 to $408 million. Net loss per share is estimated in the range of $0.25 to $0.15.

Street analysts expect breakeven earnings per share on revenues of $441.44 million.

For the full-year 2010, the company said it expects site rental revenues in the range of $1.645 to $1.665 billion. Results are forecast in the range of a loss of $0.21 to a profit of $0.01.

Street analysts expect earnings of $0.12 per share on revenues of $1.80 billion.
