Continuing the generosity that celebrities have shown since the earthquake in Haiti, Pearl Jam has announced that they are donating $200,000 for relief in the country.
According to the band's website, the funds will be donated directly by the band members as well as through the group's Vitalogy Foundation. The donation will be split among five agencies, including Charities Partners in Health, Doctors Without Borders and The Lambi Fund of Haiti.
In addition to this donation, band frontman Eddie Vedder has also released a digital single of his live version of Bruce Springsteen's "My City Of Ruins." The proceeds of the single will also be donated to Haiti relief.
Vedder, group member Mike McCready, and ex-Guns N' Roses star Duff McKagan will be among the stars performing at A Hootenanny for Haiti. The concert has been scheduled for February 28 in Seattle, Washington.
