Los Lonely Boys will return to the road for their Acoustic Brotherhood tour starting February 11 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Texas band will bring along Alejandro Escovedo and Carrie Rodriguez as special opening guests for the 17-date trek.
"This tour allows us to play the way we play in our backyards and really show the tradition of our Texican roots," drummer Ringo Garza said in a press release.
Los Lonely Boys are touring behind their latest EP, 1969, which was released last October. The EP features covers of influential songs from the EP's namesake year, including Santana's "Evil Ways" and the Beatles' "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window."
Los Lonely Boys will also host a Local Heroes contest in each city they stop in. Fans can nominate people in their communities who go above and beyond the call of duty by submitting an explanation through the band's website. A winner will be chosen in each of the tour stops and will receive four tickets to the show.
