Fantasia Barrino has plans to release her third album in 2010. The American Idol winner recently told Darius Brown of ABC News' Beyond the Red Carpet that too much time has elapsed between now and the release of her 2006 self-titled album.

"It's been three years too long," Fantasia explained. "Music is my everything, so I have put my heart, my soul, and all of my time into this album."

Luckily, the singer already has recorded a song for the project, "Overload." According to Fantasia, the song was the inspired by the stressful nature of her life since she released her debut album.

"I remember going into the studio that night after I was getting so many phone calls," she said. "Mom was calling me about different people showing up. Sheriffs, lawsuits, and they said this, and they said that. My family needed this — I went in and I did 'Overload.'"

While Fantasia has not released any music since 2006, she did star as herself a Lifetime film called Life Is Not a Fairy Tale: The Fantasia Barrino Story.
