Haemonetics Corp. (HAE) announced Monday morning that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Global Med Technologies Inc. for approximately $60 million in a cash tender offer. Haemonetics Corp. dropped sharply in early trade Monday and slipped further around midday. The stock finished down by $3.42 at $53.19 on the highest volume in 9 months. Haemonetics closed at a 3-month low and fell below both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
