Power Integrations Inc.'s (POWI,POWI.PK) fourth-quarter net income stood at $9.18 million or $0.32 per share compared with a loss of $20.65 million or $0.72 per share last year. Non-GAAP net income for the fourth quarter of 2009 was $12.18 million or $0.42 per share.

Net revenues for the fourth quarter of 2009 were $66.14 million, an increase of 56% compared with $42.42 million in the fourth quarter of 2008. On average, 8 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.41 on revenues of $64.62 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimate typically excludes one-time items.

Additionally, the company anticipates first-quarter revenues to be between $70 million and $74 million. Seven analysts estimate first-quarter revenues of $60.62 million.
