Beyoncé's clothing line, House of Dereon, is being sued by Hong Kong-based company Vier International. According to court documents filed in Manhattan earlier this week, Vier is accusing House of Dereon of breaching its contract.
Vier, a manufacturer, claims to have lost at least $500,000 due to clothing company Donna Loren LLC and shippers HJM International, who they say "induced the shipment of goods to the United States with the intent to convert them or pay less than agreed upon contract price."
Beyoncé and her partners at House of Dereon and her Beyond Productions company allegedly aided the scheme by making purchase orders and requesting manufacturer specifications, reports WWD.com.
To top it off, Vier International has also filed a report under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, or RICO act, a law usually used against organized crime.
House of Dereon is a clothing line launched by Beyoncé and her stylist mother Tina Knowles in 2005.
