During European deals on Monday, the Canadian dollar pared its recent gains versus the 16-nation currency. The loonie that hit a high of 1.4118 at 7:30 am ET failed to sustain the momentum and reached 1.4166 at 9:00 am ET. The current quote for the euro-loonie pair is 1.4164, compared to Friday's close of 1.4155.
