England's annual V Festival has confirmed that Kings of Leon and Kasabian will be headlining this year's event, with Kings of Leon performing on August 21 and Kasabian hitting the stage on the August 22.
"We can't wait," said a statement from BRIT Award-winning Kasabian. "We feel it's the right time for us to headline a festival . . . It's just a wonderful thing to be doing. Our fans are going to love the show. They'll really enjoy it."
Other confirmed musical acts for the festival include Cheryl Cole, Pet Shop Boys, Paolo Nutini, Stereophonics, Paul Weller, Editors, the Kooks, Florence and the Machine, the Prodigy, David Guetta, the Charlatans, Sugababes, Goldfrapp, Madness, the Courteeners and White Lies, among others.
The V festival will be held at two sites - Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, and Weston Park in South Staffordshire.
