The European common currency extended its previous session's upward trading against most major opponents during New York morning deals on Wednesday. At present, the euro is trading near a new 2-week high of 123.95 against the Japanese yen, compared to yesterday's New York session close of 122.38.
The European single currency also spiked up further against the British pound and the US dollar in today's morning trading. At 11:00 am ET, the euro climbed to fresh multi-day highs of 0.9136 against the pound and 1.3681 versus the greenback, which may be compared to Tuesday's closing values of 0.9071 and 1.3602, respectively.
