Nowhere Boy, the biopic film about the life of John Lennon, is headed to DVD on May 10.

The new DVD and Blu-ray disc release will include special features, such as commentary from director Sam Taylor-Wood, as well as interviews, deleted scenes and two featurettes titled Lennon's Liverpool and The Re-creation of the Quarrymen.

The film recently earned several nominations at the British Association of Film and Television Awards, including best supporting actress nods to Kristin Scott Thomas as Lennon's Aunt Mimi and Anne Marie Duff as his mother, Julia.

The Lennon family continues to make headlines this week over the recent release of a new car commercial for French automaker Citroen's DS-3 that uses footage of the former Beatle damning people's reverence for the 1960s and 1970s. In the ad, Lennon claims that "once a thing's been done it's been done," and encourages viewers to "do something of your own, start something new."

While British television reported many Lennon fans were angered by the use of his image for profit, Lennon's son, Sean, assured fans that the "intention was not financial" and was about "simply wanting to keep him out there in the world."
