Against its Mexican counterpart, the dollar traded lower during New York deals on Friday. At about 2:15 pm ET, the pair touched 12.5234, which may be compared to Thursday's closing value of 12.565. This set a new multi-month low for the US currency. As of now, the dollar is worth 12.55 versus the peso. The dollar has been in a downward channel against its Mexican counterpart since February 24, 2010.
