China March House Prices Rise

China's housing prices in 70 cities rose 11.7% year-on-year in March following 10.7% increase in February, the National Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday. March marked the tenth consecutive month of increase.

On a monthly basis, prices were up 1.1%, quicker than February's 0.9% gain.

Property investment rose 35.1% annually to CNY659.4 billion in the first quarter of the year.
